Our rental fleet includes solo kayaks, tandem kayaks, stand-up paddle boards [SUP], paddle boats, canoes, poontoon boats and charter cruises.

To rent any of our equipment, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid picture ID and major credit card [for your deposit].

To rent our pontoon boats, you must be at least 25 years old and have successfully completed the NYS Boat Safety Course as well as have picture ID and a major credit card.

We reserve the right to refuse a reservations request at any time.

1. To begin the process, please contact us to let us know what you are interested in renting as well as your desired dates.

2. If your desired dates are available, you will then submit a Rental Agreement along with your payment information. A deposit will be held to secure your reservation.

3. The day of your rental, we will meet you at your chosen location on the lake with the rental[s]. We will provide you with all the required safety equipment, instructions on the use of the equipment as well as work with you to complete the required Rental Equipment Inspection. The inspection will take place both before and after the rental period. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to pick up the rental, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and retain your deposit.

4. When your rental time ends, we will meet you at the predetermined location to pick up the rental equipment and complete the Post-Rental Inspection. Your rental deposit will be released within 24 hrs of your rental period.

Your reservation is not confirmed and your rental is NOT guaranteed until a Rental Agreement has been signed by both you and us AND your deposit has been received. At that time, your desired rental has been officially reserved by you. Because we are very busy throughout the season, we cannot hold our rentals.

We highly recommend you do not hesitate in the rental process or it may result in the rental no longer being available.

We reserve the right to refuse to rent at our discretion. You must be 18 years of age or older to rent any of our fleet. No refunds will be provided for inclement weather or unused rental time.

RENTAL FEE 
We require the full payment of your rental[s] at the time of reservation. We accept cash, check, debit or credit cards. Checks may only be acceptable if there is enough time for the check to clear. All credit card payments will incur a 3% processing fee. If a reservation is cancelled 14 days in advance, the rental amount can be applied to a later date within the same season.

No cash refunds are available.

PAYMENT
Payment information for your rental[s] is required at the time your reservation is accepted by us.

You will not be charged for the rental until the day of your reservation. You can then decide whether you would like to pay with cash or credit/debit card. When using a credit or debit card, there will be any additional 3% charge added to your total costs.

Please note that the rental fee cost does not include local and state taxes.

SECURITY / DAMAGE DEPOSIT

We require a Damage Deposit for all rentals except our Charter Cruises. The Damage Deposit will be expected the day of your rental and must be made with a credit card. We must receive this deposit prior to our delivery of the rental items.

Your Damage Deposit will be released within 24 hrs of the end of your rental if there are no damages.

Disregarding or intentionally breaking our rules or any NYS laws will result in the immediate termination of our rental agreement. Additionally, if there is any evidence of smoking or the use of any flammable substances when using one of our rentals, your rental time period will end immediately. If termination of the rental agreement occurs or a violation is discovered, you will forfeit your security deposit.


FEES
Fees will be charged if:
1. You are late picking up or returning our rental equipment.
2. Our pontoon boat is returned without a full tank of gas [$50 fee + cost of the fuel].
3. Our equipment is returned damaged or significantly dirty.

DELIVERY FEE
The pontoon boat’s rental fee include free delivery. All other rentals are delivered by road to your destination, including your home, rental property, restaurant dock, Long Point Park, and Vitale Park. There be a delivery fee based upon the location of the delivery. We will discuss delivery details with you when confirming your reservation. Please feel free to contact us in advance with any questions you might have.

LATE FEE 
If you arrival later than 15 minutes to our predetermined meeting location for rental delivery, we reserve the right to cancel your rental agreement and retain your rental deposit in full. Any rentals returned later than 15 minutes after the rental period will incur a $50 LATE RETURN FEE.

REFUELING FEE
It is the expectation of the renter to refuel the pontoon boat at the end of the rental time period. Please note that ALL DAY rentals and AFTERNOON rentals must be at the marina to refuel by 4:30 pm to ensure enough time to make it to the meeting location to return the boat by 5 pm. If the boat is returned without a full tank of glass, you will be charged a RE=FUELING FEE of $50 + the cost of the fuel.

To ensure you are able to refuel and return the pontoon boat in time, we highly reccomend renters be at the Marina to begin refueling by 4:30 pm to ensure you are able to make it to meeting place to return the boat to us at 5 pm. 

CLEANING FEE
A $40 Cleaning Fee will be charged if a rental is returned unreasonably dirty.

Reservations are confirmed once we have made arrangements for deposit and payment with you.  We reserve the right to terminate a reservation at any time, including during your rental period, if we have any concerns. Your reservation may also be cancelled if you arrive significantly late at the time of pickup.

 If a reservation is cancelled 14 days in advance, the rental amount can be applied to a later date within the same season. No cash refunds are given.

If you fail to cancel within the stated time period, you may be charged the full amount of your rental. 

If you fail to show up at the established location and time of the rental, you will be charged the full amount of the rental. Late arrivals and returns of our equipment will also incur a fee. Please see our “About Payments Accepted and Our Fees & Deposits” section for additional details.

We want to ensure you have a safe and fun time while exploring Conesus Lake! All our rental boats are equipped with US Coast Guard approved PFD (personal flotation device) up to the maximum capacity of each boat. 

Anyone using our rental equipment are required to wear a life jacket. We provide these at the time of the rental period, free of cost, and reserve the right to cancel your rental period if we find that they are not being used. Additionally, anyone using our equipment in a manner that cause bodily harm to themselves or others enjoying the lake will be result in the immediate termination of the rental contact. Safety is our #1 priority.

 

We require that those driving our pontoon boats be certified via the NYS Boater Safety Course. Please submit proof of your certification at the time of your rental request.

For the safety of all enjoying Conesus Lake, we require that those  renting our pontoon boats successfully complete the NYS Boater Safety Course. We will accept similar certification from other states as well. 

OUR POLICY REGARDING THE NYS BOATER SAFTEY CERTIFICATION
We require anyone renting one of our Pontoon Boats must have successfully completed the NYS Boater Safety Course. We will not reserve your rental / save your rental date until you have completed the course and provided us with proof. We will accept certification of boater safety course completion from another state. The card / certificate must be issued to you from your current state of residence, and the course must be approved by the National Association of Boating Law Administrators [Look for the NASBLA logo on your certificate].

Please Note: You do not need to complete the NYS Boater Safety Course to rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, paddle boats or to reserve a private charter.

HOW TO TAKE THE COURSE
New York State offers boat operators two options: Taking an in-person classroom style course or taking an online course. Boating Safety Certificate course requirements can be completed with one of the online courses listed below. These will provide the same information supplied in the classroom courses.

HOW TO GET A REPLACEMENT CARD

To receive a replacement card, you can get one via an online form or download the form and submit it via postal mail. The replacement cost is $10.
